International Seminar on Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training in the context of National Qualifications Frameworks, the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA) and the Regional Seminar of the Joint TFBHC and ERI SEE Cluster of Knowledge: Development of National Qualifications Frameworks

International Seminar „QA in HE and VET in the context of NQFs, EQF and QF-EHEA -promoting trust be/ween the sectors?“ will take place in Biograd na Moru, Croatia, on 27 June, 2013.

Separately, the following day, on June 28, the Seminar „Regional capacities for quality assurance and their relation to development and implementation of NQFs“ of the Joint TFBHC and ERI SEE Cluster of Knowledge: Development of National Qualifications Frameworks will be held at the same place.

The main aim of the international Seminar is to facilitate the dialogue between the main actors in higher education (HE) and vocational education and training (VET) underpinning the issue of exchange and mutual learning about different and similar quality assurance (QA) arrangements in order to promote their greater compatibility. The purpose of the Seminar is two-fold. Firstly, it will address the issue of QA systems in HE and VET in relation to the development and implementation of national qualifications frameworks reflecting and responding to the EQF and QF-EHEA. Secondly, the Seminar will tackle the issue of different QA arrangements for facilitating recognition of qualifications, both in HE and VET.

The purpose of the NQF Cluster Seminar is to address the issue of QA systems in relation to the national qualifications frameworks. In particular, Seminar aims to review regional QA arrangements, with due regard to general, vocational and higher education and to contribute to efforts of understanding how these respond to development and implementation of NQFs.
